Crossfit is both a physical exercise philosophy and a competitive fitness sport.  Crossfit workouts incorporate exercise techniques from Olympic weightlifting, high-intensity interval training, plyometrics, gymnastics, powerlifting calisthenics and other exercises.

A Crossfit class typically starts with a warm-up, a skill-development segment, a high-intensity ‘Workout of the Day’ (known as ‘WOD’) and ends with stretching at the end.  The ‘WOD’s are preformed using various equipment such as barbells, gymnastics rings, jump ropes, kettlebells, medicine balls, plyo boxes and rowers.

At Fitness Together, our Crossfit classes (called Cross FT)  have been designed for individuals at different fitness levels, and are divided into 3 categories: No Level, Level 1 (intermediate) & Level 2 (advanced). To encourage a team spirit and competitiveness during the workouts, the performance of each individual (or Team) during the ‘WOD’ is scored and ranked in order to track progress.
